I love it. We have motorcycle dudes at our church.
Don’t get me wrong… the suit-and-tie gentlemen who come before our congregration on a regular basis to offer prayers and words of wisdom are always a welcome sight. But there’s something extra cool about a man decked out in motorcycle insignia preaching the gospel.
Bud Jones of Grace Memorial Baptist Church spoke Sunday about his membership in the Christian Motorcyclists Association, a program founded by Herb Shreve and his teenage son in 1974 to reach out to the motorcycle community with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Over the years, CMA has raised over 31 million dollars for evangelistic efforts.
Their largest fund raising event, “Run for the Son,” is slated for Saturday, May 2, and involves motorcyclists from across the U.S. and Canada. Through sponsorships, money is raised to support three major CMA ministry partners: Jesus Film Project, Missionary Ventures, and Open Doors. Last year, CMA raised over $800,000 for each one of these outstanding ministries.
If you know one of these motorcycle missionaries, consider sponsoring them on their upcoming ride, or go directly to the CMA website to donate.

This is great. I had met a lady who belonged to one of our local motorcyclists church, her daughter used to take dance lessons at Diane Desporte’s Dance Academy with Claudia. You would never ever have thought she was he hard core biker just look at her. Her and her husband each had their own bike. I remember her telling me how active they were fund raising all sorts of great Christian causes.

I didn’t realize how wonderful of a ministry this was until I checked out their website. Very worthy of support.
