There’s a reason why Mississippians are the heaviest Americans.  Great food is tempting us everywhere we go–we jus cain’t hep it.

I was recently asked to write about the “Best Meal I Ever Ate.”  Click here to read about it in Accent South Mississippi.  Four other South Mississippians weigh in on their favorite meals, too.

  1. What a great memory! I bet you blessed the socks right off your grandma!

There is a southern restaurant I’d like to go back to again someday. Home of the “Throwed Rolls”. Lambert’s Cafe in Foley, Alabama was slow that day and we didn’t get the full experience. But, we did get to eat our fried okra off a napkin. :)

  2. You’ve been to Lambert’s! Our family has gone a few times; it has a lot of personality and we’ve always enjoyed it. We brought my mom and dad there a few years back, thinking they would like it, too. Momma got hit in the head with one of those “throwed rolls” and was not a happy camper! I don’t think she’ll be joining us for any future dining experiences.
