My friend, Jan Spiers, is passing along a prayer request via her sister, Karen, in Kentucky.  Karen’s friend, Christy, has quintuplets–born this year–and one of them has a congenital heart defect.  There is concern that baby Easton’s condition may be serious enough to warrant a heart transplant.  The family is aware that the heart transplant list is long, and for many, a heart may not come in time.  A cardiac catheterization is scheduled in two weeks and will determine the true extent of his heart function.  “Please pray for Easton daily,” Christy says.  “Please pass this information to everyone you know to have as many prayers as possible.  We need a miracle!”  Christy and husband Bill have a blog, Quintsofkentuckiana.  Visit to learn more about this lovely family.

Thanks, Karen, for posting this. I know they will appreciate your prayers. And while I have a sister named Karen in FL (she’s the grandmother of triplets), this was from my sister, Lyla, in KY. It doesn’t really matter about that, but I know we will all appreciate your prayers and those of your readers.

    Prayers for Easton.

And wondering how Karen is doing?

Thanks for the correction, Jan. I must have misread your email. Hi Martha! Looking forward to a beautiful Thanksgiving Day.
